Designing By The Hour
Posted by admin / Under My Perspective
I recently read a blog post by Steve Zelle (aka idApostle) entitled Why Design Can%u2019t be Billed by the Hour. It offers some nice insight into the creative process and demonstrates how futile it is to charge by the hour for creative work. I couldn't agree more and would like to add my own perspective to this argument.

Then I finally saw that poor guy there hiding under his umbrella. This photograph's a nice study in earth tones, but it's also so very twisty, twisted. Vertigo!!

Attempt at Advice To A Young Cartoonist
Posted by admin / Under My Perspective
Last week, a young cartoonist named Stephanie wrote me and, in a perhaps mistaken assumption I know what I'm doing, asked some questions about cartooning, which I tried to answer as best I could from my own perspective and experience. Which I'm not sure was so great, but she seemed to find a lot of it useful, so I thought perhaps others might.
